Skywood Retreat
Big Sky
2016
Skywood Retreat is a 4,155-square-foot home situated on a 20-acre lot with expansive views of Lone Mountain. The interior design emphasizes warmth and a deep connection to the Montana landscape, incorporating natural materials such as reclaimed wood, stone, and plaster. The great room features towering ceilings, a prominent stone fireplace, and expansive windows that frame stunning mountain views. The kitchen is centered around a striking Red Dragon granite island, adding a vibrant focal point to the space. Subtle nods to the homeowner's passion for fly fishing are integrated throughout the design, including custom knotted handles and copper fish tiles embedded in the kitchen backsplash. A distinctive breezeway connects the main house to the guest quarters, offering privacy while maintaining a cohesive flow. This retreat balances rustic charm with comfort, creating an inviting sanctuary that reflects the homeowner's lifestyle and the natural beauty of its surroundings.
